Frank McMorrow
Frank is a 30 years' qualified Chartered Accountant and business adviser who brings a wealth of financial and commercial experience to the firm. He trained with KPMG and worked there up to director level, before becoming a partner with a smaller firm, then setting up his own specialist forensic accounting and corporate finance practice, which he merged into Henderson Loggie in 2007.
Having now retired from his role as a Consultant to Henderson Loggie, Frank undertakes general business advisory work and has many years of experience working with SME’s in Scotland. He has been a working shareholder, executive director, non-executive director, board adviser and company secretary for SME’s across a range of industry and professional sectors in Scotland over the last 20 years. He has advised professional practices (lawyers, accountants) on various business issues.
Frank also has significant insight into the firm’s key practice area of litigation. He established a reputation as one of a small number of forensic accounting specialists in Scotland. For some 25 years he provided advice and opinion to law firms, Counsel and the Courts on commercial disputes, damages claims for loss of profits, professional negligence and personal injury and on business and company valuations, most notably in divorce cases.
He also has expertise in the investigation of fraud and irregularities both in the context of litigation and for SME’s and other organisations. Having specialised in these areas since the early 1990’s, Frank was frequently used as an expert witness, giving evidence on accounting and commercial matters at the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts in Scotland. He has also been engaged in litigation and arbitration as far afield as the USA, Canada and Australia.
